American Idol 5/4/11 Top 5 Now and Then Songs Recap

This is American Idol! the Idol Finale is just three weeks away! Here come the Top 5 contestants looking hot! Ryan and Randy agree that tonight of all nights is a very important night, as America wants to know Who is in it to win it?! The finalists need to step it up (A LOT) if they hope to win votes and even come close to winning this thing.

Sheryl Crow mentors the contestants for the performances tonight with Jimmy. The Top 5 Idols will each sing two songs tonight, one from the 60′s and the other from the 70′s, so get ready for the phone numbers, unless you’re planning to vote online.

James Durbin‘s first song tonight is “Closer To The Edge” by 30 Seconds to Mars.  1-866-436-5701 or 1-866-436-5706. Steven Tyler says James “kicked that song’s ass!”. Jennifer says America is feeling it, the win is his to take. Randy says this performance shows that James is in it to win it!

American Idol 4/28/09 Rat Pack Theme Song List Spoilers? Idol Top 4 Rock Theme Spoiler

UPDATE BELOW!!! The American Idol Rat Pack theme list of songs spoiler rumors from EW may or may not be true, but it’s sure fun to speculate on American Idol spoilers anyway. One thing that’s interesting from this supposed spoiler is the lack of two songs for each of the Top 5 to sing this week.

Directly from an anonymous member of Ricky Minors band here are some real spoilers which came in fresh this morning. Remember: these songs are the pics the Idols made before any dressed rehearsal but they are the real deal. Matt: ‘Fly me to the moon’ (originally Megan’s pick, but Matt insisted). Danny: ‘That’s Amore’ (his second pick is ‘i’ve got you under my skin’). Allison: ‘Can’t Take That Away From Me’. She already sung it during previous rehearsals and will probably do this one on stage. Adam ‘Leroy Brown’ or ‘That’s Life’. ‘That’s life’, was originally claimed by Kris (so don’t act all surprised if Kris comes out on stage with this one). Kris has chosen ‘Fever’ his second choice ‘That’s life’ might also be sung by Adam. And finally the group performance will showcast Allison in a leading role as the female voice in ‘Something Stupid’. Remember during rehearsals things might change.

Jamie Foxx is scheduled to be a “surprise” Mentor on American Idol tonight. Big deal. Isn’t this the same Jamie Foxx who recently made some rather unkind comments about Miley Cyrus? THAT Jamie Foxx? Ugh….

Also, the most recent American Idol news is that there will NOT be TWO songs performed on Idol tonight by the Top 5, but only one song per contestant. Why doesn’t American Idol big-shots just do away with a bunch of this “mentor” nonsense and stop wasting viewer’s time and let the TOP 5 performers do what they do best?! SING!!! And, the judging needs to go back to just three judges – this 4 judge commenting nonsense eats up the entire hour of performances, which means there’s little time left between commercials and stupid Ford video commercials and Group Performances to actually watch the Idol finalists SING!

American Idol 4/14/09 Top 7 Songs Of The Cinema American Idol

American Idol 4/14/09 has finally arrived! Your American Idol Top 7 Theme tonight is Idols At The Movies/Songs of The Cinema, and we’re LIVE with our review/recap of each American Idol performance and judges comments. Who will be voted off American Idol tomorrow night during the 4/15/09 American Idol Results Show? We’re about to find out!

Quentin Tarrantino is tonight’s American Idol mentor, which should make tonight’s Top 7 performances very interesting. “This is American Idol”, says Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Quentin Tarrantino was an Idol judge during Season 3, and he holds no punches in his reviews of Idol performances.

Due to the complaints American Idol and FOX received because Idol ran late last week, only two Idol judges will speak to comment and critique each of the American Idol performances tonight. That should (hopefully) keep things rolling!

First to sing is Allison Iraheta singing “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. Allison is “one talented young lady”, and that’s exactly what Paula Abdul says too. Simon Cowell says Allison is “the girls only hope in this competition” and “we may see Allison all the way to end of the competition”. Allison should be very proud of her accomplishments thus far, and I can’t help but agree that Allison deserves to be in the Top 3 at this point in the competition, unless Allison really screws up with song choices or performances in coming weeks. American Idol 4/8/09 Idol Top 8 Results-Who Got Voted Off American Idol

Rapper Flo-rida will sing his record-breaking #1 hit single “Right Round” to promote the rapper’s new album “R.O.O.T.S”, with estimates saying Flo-rida’s album has already sold over 500,000 copies in its first week. Who gets voted off American Idol tonight? Predictions around the net indicate that Scott McIntyre is in serious trouble of elimination tonight, but Lil Rounds and Kris Allen are also predicted to be in the Bottom 3, alongside Scott. Who got voted off American Idol is what we’re about to find out! Are you ready to find out who are in the Bottom 3 and who finally (?) got voted off American Idol? Randy Jackson expresses his disappointment over this week’s performances and song choices. Kara says some of the early front runners have sort of lost their edge and need to step up and choose better songs and make the songs their own. Paula Abdul agreed that some of the Idol performers haven’t done as well as previous weeks.
