Kelly Clarkson’s song, A Moment Like This, continues to stay on the top of the Billboard music charts and for very good reason. A Moment Like This was originally recorded by American Idol’s first winner Kelly Clarkson, and the song is included on her multi-platinum album “Thankful”. The third winner of the British television show The X-Factor, Leona Lewis, also sang A Moment Like This and was awarded the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Best Selling British Single.

“A Moment Like This” was co-written by Jorgen Eloffson and John Reid, and produced by Steve Mac and Stephen Ferrera. The song was written for the very first winner of American Idol, to be recorded as the winner’s very first single, which meant that all four American Idol finalists Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini, Tamyra Gray and Nikki McKibbin, had to record “A Moment Like This” just in case they became the next American Idol.
