American Idol 4/28/09 Top 5 Rat Pack Jazz on American Idol Performance Video Recap

American Idol 4/28/09 – American Idol Top 5 RAT PACK STANDARDS Performances, Recap, Comments and Video. Who will get voted off American Idol tomorrow night on the 4/29/09 Idol Results Show???

***Keep watching this space for updates of VIDEOS to watch the American Idol Top 5 finalists (Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey) sing Rat Pack songs.**

Tonight’s American Idol Rat Pack theme brings back songs from the 5 original Rat Packs: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, Dean Martin and Joey Bishop., with “surprise” mentor Jamie Foxx appearing tonight on American Idol.

“THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL!” – The American Idol Finale is just 3 weeks away! Standards from the Rat Pack Era! “Mystery Mentor” Jamie Foxx is introduced with each of the Top 5 not having any idea who the mentor would be this week.

First to sing is KRIS ALLEN singing “The Way You Look Tonight”. Slow, mellow and smooth. Kris looks great in his suit too. Very nice job Kris! Randy Jackson says “this is your best performance…, nice!” Kara DioGuardi says Kris has “set the technical standards for this night”, and that Kris is a “dark horse in this competition”. Paula Abdul called Kris a “charismatic crooner”. Simon Cowell didn’t think the performance was that great, calling the performance “wet”, and doesn’t believe Kris Allen can possibly win this Season 8 competition. To VOTE for Kris Allen, phone 1-866-IDOLS-01 or 06 – OR Text “VOTE” to 5701 or 5706. TWO phone numbers for each Idol to help you get through! Cool!

Next to sing is ALLISON IRAHETA performing “Someone To Watch Over Me”. Yesterday was Allison’s 17th Birthday. Happy Birthday Allison! Perhaps a bit risky for Allison to sing a love song at such a young age, but she’s doing a great job in this performance. Randy Jackson also loved Allison’s performance. Kara says Allison likely earned some new fans tonight, and if this performance “doesn’t land you in the finals, I don’t know what will”. Paula says the performance was alluring and very tender. Simon Cowell asks Allison if she thinks she can win the competition and she of course does, but Simon says he feels she could be in trouble tonight. Uh Oh Allison!!! To VOTE for Allison Iraheta, phone 1-866-IDOLS-02 OR 07 – or Text “VOTE” to 5702 or 5707.
