American Idol 4/7/10 Top 9 Results – Who Got Voted Off American Idol?

This is American Idol! Last night’s Lennon/McCartney theme brought Idol fans some good performances, for a change. We’re about to find out who amongst the Top 9 will be eliminated from American Idol tonight. Here we go!

Video clips of last night’s performances by the Top 9 are shown, plus clips of comments and criticism from the Idol judges. Ryan says the Top 9 will become the Top 8, unless the judges choose to use the save vote. (Don’t hold your breath) Ryan says we’re in for some “shocking results tonight”, ruh roh! American Idol Top 9 Season 9 Lennon McCartney Beatles Theme Week Plus Rihanna Sings

The American Idol Top 9 contestants have their work cut out for them with next week’s Lennon/McCartney Beatles songs theme. Season 9 hasn’t been a fan favorite thus far, having been deemed the worst season since the show began.

Hopefully the top nine finalists will perform their chosen songs like it could be their last time on stage – because someone is going to be voted off next week and sent packin’. Yes Tim, it’s past time for you to be shown the door and sent home.

Idol’s final nine contestants will choose songs from the John Lennon/Paul McCartney songbook. This is the third season in the history of Idol that contestants have access to songs by Lennon and McCartney – excluding Beatles songs written and owned by George Harrison and his estate.

American Idol Top 10 Theme R&B Soul Week Song List

American Idol’s Top 10 contestants will either enjoy or destroy this week’s theme, which is R&B soul songs. R&B is one my favorite music genres, so heaven help the remaining season 9 contestant(s) that choose the wrong song or make our ears bleed (again).

Considering how most, if not all, the fan sites have said that this season’s collection of “performers” has made this the worst season since American Idol began, it’s a shame that one or more contestants won’t be singing the Idol exit song Leave Right Now by Will Young – because that’s what we’re all thinking.

Will Young – Leave Right Now – American Idol 9 Elimination Exit Song, Lyrics

Will Young’s “Leave Right Now” is the name of the American Idol elimination song at the end of American Idol 9 when a contestant is kicked off the show. Some refer to this popular song as the “boot” song, elimination song or exit song. With the bad reviews season 9 has been receiving thus far, horrible singing and poor song choice by many contestants, there is at least a lot of interest in Will Young’s song.

Leave Right Now is listed as number four on Young’s Friday’s Child album, which includes a total of 11 songs.
