May 19, 2009 American Idol Finale has finally arrived! Who will win American Idol Season 8 at the American Idol Finale results show tomorrow night at the Nokia Theatre, May 20, 2009 between Adam Lambert and Kris Allen? We’re LIVE with the American Idol Top 2 performers tonight. American Idol starts at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.

Kara says “you have a way of creating an intimate bond with your audience, where everyone feels like you’re singing to us”. Paula says Kris “Allenizes” his performances. Umm, ok? Simon Cowell says he takes back what he’s said about Kris Allen in the past, and loved the performance “I wasn’t sure if a had made the right choice last week, I absolutely take that all back after that performance”. Adam Lambert is singing A Change Is Gonna Come. Adam did a quick change and is wearing a light grey suit and looking good. The song performance was spectacular! Randy Jackson says “What you did right there, you can sing your face off and that was unbelievable”. Kara says the it was the best performance Adam has done, “combination of the high notes and low notes, using both sides of yourself”. Paula says Adam will be “iconic” and stands up to say “the best, the best, the best performance”. Simon Cowell says Adam Lambert is “100% back in the game…congratulations”. Great job Adam!

Kris Allen is up with “What’s Goin On” by Marvin Gaye, sitting on a stool playing guitar. Randy Jackson says “we’ve got ourselves a real live duel going on…just a little light for me man, ya know?” Kara says she’s glad Simon picked a “social conscience song, make them feel and make them change”. Paula says Kris “tore that song up and made Marvin Gaye proud”. Simon says Kris’ performance was like “three friends in their bedroom singing”.., adding Kris did not “grab hold of the song and too laid back for a night like this”. Uh Oh Kris! Simon Cowell says Adam Lambert won Round 2 “1 million percent for Adam”.

Round 3:

Adam Lambert is singing the Winner’s Coronation Song “No Boundaries“. WOW, WOW!!! Randy Jackson says “I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, you can sing anything.., you can sing the phone book, but not one of my performances, a bit pitchy for me in some spots”. Kara says she’s proud of Adam’s performance of the song she co-wrote. Paula says she’ll “be a fan forever, front line”. Simon Cowell says “you have been one of the best, original contestants on the show..I genuinely believe we have found a worldwide star in you”. Fabulous, spectacular performance by Adam Lambert tonight! (Problem is, Kara DioGuardi’s “No Boundaries” Lyrics SUCK! Very Kindergarten! Neither Adam nor Kris Allen should have to get stuck with this pathetic attempt of a song. Ick.)

Kris Allen is now singing the Winner’s Coronation Song “No Boundaries“. Kris is doing a great job, although sometimes appearing to strain to hit the higher notes. Randy Jackson says the song was a little too high for Kris. Kara DioGuardi says “I don’t want you to be judged on that song…you’ve been incredible to watch week after week…I hope people vote on the season”. Paula says “You should take it in…amazing job…I wish you the best of luck”. Simon Cowell says “I think the first song was your highlight…watching you tonight has been incredible…you have thoroughly deserved to be standing on this stage tonight, congratulations.”

Carrie Underwood closes the show with “Home Sweet Home” AKA “the boot song”.

Tonight’s American Idol Judges Choice and Personal Pick will begin at 8 p.m. EST, and we’ll be LIVE with review, recap, judges comments and VIDEO of tonight’s Top 3 Idol performances. Check out the American Idol Top 3 judges choice spoilers for what Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey will be singing tonight on American Idol (May 12, 2009). Remember, each of the Top 3 contestants will be performing TWO songs instead of just one. Thank goodness. Hopefully we won’t have to listen to too much chatter from the judges, but rather can focus on the Top 3 singing performances instead.

THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL!!! “Heroes of their hometown” says Ryan Seacrest. This is the 300th American Idol episode. Tonight’s “Three Amigos” are about to take the Idol stage. Ryan is introducing the judges. Ryan introduces the Top 3 American Idol Finalists, asking viewers “Who will you vote for to be in the Finale?”

First up is Danny Gokey singing “Dance Little Sister” by Terrance Trent D’Arby. Paula Abdul is up on her feet dancing to Danny’s performance. Good job Danny! Uptempo, singing on key (for a change), no screaming. Randy Jackson says “that was dope for me dude”. Kara DioGuardi didn’t like the dancing “too gyrating” – “forgettable performance”. Paula loved Danny’s performance, doing a “fantastic job”. Simon Cowell says the dancing “was a bit desperate”, “vocally very good”, but didn’t care much for the sax solo and “wrong song”. Next up is Kris Allen singing “Apologize” by One Republic. Kris is playing the piano and hitting the notes wonderfully, sounding really good tonight. Great job Kris! Kara said it was a “competent performance”, but says “you gotta hit it out of the park” and not behind the piano, taking more chances. Paula Abdul says “there was a bum note” but says Kris deserves to be in the Top 3. Simon tells Kara she and Randy can’t choose a song for Kris to sing but then blame Kris for doing the song with the arrangement he chose, saying Kara and Randy should have chosen the arrangement. Here comes Adam Lambert singing “One” by U2. (Simon Cowell says Bono agreed to allow Adam perform their song tonight). Starts off soft and mellow, very smooth….., then powerhouse vocals take over again. WOW Adam! Simon’s smiling and clapping. Randy Jackson says Adam “is in the zone” but wasn’t impressed with the song choice or performance, to which Simon says “booo”. Kara says Adam is a “strategist”, able to make performances “unbelievable”, doing his “own version” of the song. Paula jokes about sitting next to Simon “gloating over Adam’s performance”. Next up is Danny Gokey singing his Personal Choice song, “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker. I was very nervous Danny wouldn’t be able to pull off this song tonight, but Danny is sounding really good. Smooth, no screaming, great melody, very very good performance. Randy Jackson says “amazing song”, “you showed dude that you can really, really, really sing dawg”. Kara calls it a “stunning” performance. Paula says Danny’s changing up the “structure” of the song arrangement made for a “beautiful performance”. Simon calls it a “vocal masterclass”. Good job Danny! Kris Allen is up next with his Personal Choice song, “Heartless” by Kanye West. Kris is playing the guitar with this performance. Randy Jackson says “this is gonna be one of the toughest voting” this season, “better than the original”, “I loved it, I loved it”. Kara says it “was bold, brave and fearless”. Paula says “bravo”, “I commend you”. Simon thought it “was a lame song choice” and had “literally written you out of this competition, but that’s all changed after that performance”. Good job Kris! Kara wonders “Who hits those notes? Adam Lambert”. Paula says “We’ll see you in the finals”. Simon Cowell says he’s “not going to suck up”, but tells Adam that Adam fans need to vote for Adam because he deserves to be in the finals based on talent. American Idol May 6, 2009 is here! We’re LIVE for tonight’s American Idol Top 4 Rock theme elimination vote. American Idol starts tonight at 9 P.M. EST, when we find out Who Got Voted Off American Idol tonight!

THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL!!! Over 64 million votes were registered for last night’s ROCK performances. WOW! Ryan introduces the Idol judges. “No Doubt is here” and Daughtry performs, as does Paula Abdul.

Next is the Ford Video Performance of Move Along. VIDEO

Here comes SLASH with the Top 4 Finalists singing “Schools Out” by Alice Cooper. They’re ROCKIN’ tonight! Yeah baby! Slash sure plays a mean guitar, and the Top 4 are doing a great job, with Adam Lambert hitting the high notes with spectacular precision. VIDEO

Ryan speaks with Slash briefly about an upcoming album but gets no details, and now we’re at a commercial. The American Idol LIVE summer tour tickets go on sale this Saturday, says Ryan.

Ryan asks the Top 4 “what’s the vibe” on Wednesday nights? Kris Allen says it’s surreal to sing before millions of people, but Simon Cowell tells Kris “we don’t want humble anymore” but that Kris should feel like he deserves to be on American Idol. Adam Lambert says he’s been having a blast, and loved his outfit last night. Danny Gokey says he was laughing the whole night after watching the playback video, and referred to the ending of his Dream On song as a “horror scream”. Yeah it was! Allison says she felt the need to speak up for herself about her song choice for last night when Simon criticized her. VIDEO

Paula Abdul is up singing (lip-synching) I’m Just Here For The Music. Paula’s performance was pre-taped last night, as was No Doubt’s performance. The only LIVE performance tonight is by Chris Daughtry. Paula is wearing a short, green and black outfit, moving around the stage with her backup dancers during her performance. The song is uptempo/techno sounding and actually sounds pretty good, but I may have to listen to it a few times to get hooked on it enough to download it. VIDEO

Paula Abdul did a quick clothes change and Ryan asks Paula “Why now” about why perform her song on American Idol. She says Idol is the greatest place to perform her new single.

No Doubt is on stage singing I’m Just A Girl. No Doubt is actually doing push-ups on the stage while singing. Umm, why? No Doubt (Gwen Stafani) is a very popular performer, but I don’t get the fascination, sorry. VIDEO

Green bra underneath a sheer white tank top – that’s called an outfit? Tacky, tacky. Commercial break again.

The Results Are In! Video clips of previous hometown visits are shown, since hometown visits for the Top 4 are on the line tonight. The Top 4 Finalists take the stage, and the lights are dimmed. Here we go. VIDEO

Ryan reminds each of the finalists of the judges comments about their performances last night. “The first person in the Top 3 and headed home for a parade is KRIS ALLEN!!! Wow!!! Kris Allen is SAFE!!! Commercial break again. Twitter is going wild!!!

Love me some Daughtry… Definitely have to dig up the Lyrics to No Surprise right after American Idol ends tonight. The song and performance is great! Chris Daughtry tells Ryan Seacrest that his elimination from American Idol felt like the “world was coming to an end, but I got over it 30 seconds later”. No kidding – Chris Daughtry ROCKS!!! Commercial again.

Who Got Voted Off American Idol?? The second person who is in the Top 3 (in random order) and headed to their hometown is ADAM LAMBERT!!!! Adam Lambert is SAFE!!!

Danny Gokey is SAFE and Allison Iraheta got voted off American Idol! Definitely didn’t see that one coming! Predictions had Danny Gokey or Kris Allen going home tonight! Wow. Shocker!!! MAJOR UPSET! Just 17 years old, Allison Iraheta once again rocks out to Janis Joplin’s Cry Baby. Allison Iraheta fans have been desperately wanting to hear Allison sing Piece Of My Heart by Janis Joplin, but it’s not going to happen on American Idol. VIDEO

The Top 3 American Idol Theme Next Week – Top 3 Finalists (Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey) take on Judges Choice and their Personal Pick. TWO Songs for each next week. Hometown visits happen on Friday next week, and by then we’ll know the Judges Choices.

American Idol 5-5-09 ROCK night is here! We’re LIVE with American Idol, briefly wondering if the show would go on after hearing about the accident involving American Idol Stage Manager Debbie Williams! Debbie Williams fell down the 20 foot staircase, and a glass tower started breaking, causing an evacuation of the auditorium! But, here is Ryan Seacrest taking the Idol stage saying THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL!!!

Ryan explains how the glass tower “started popping” and started to collapse. Ryan says The Show Must Go On! The Idol judges are introduced and then the Top 4 Finalists are brought onto the stage. Slash is mentor for the Top 4 this week, well known as lead guitarist for Guns n Roses and Velvet Revolver, a “true rock icon”.

Adam Lambert is up first singing Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin. Adam is ROCKIN’ Tonight!!! Adam Lambert is a ROCK STAR! Randy Jackson says forget about all that crap about theatrical performances, this was HOT! Kara loved Adam’s performance, saying Adam is a “Rock God”. Paula was quick and to the point, loved it 100%. Allison Iraheta is next up singing Cry Baby by Janis Joplin! Allison has the perfect vocal ability to do Janis Joplin right, and she rocked out that song! Personally, I would have liked for Allison Iraheta to sing Piece Of My Heart by Janis Joplin, but she opted for Cry Baby. Randy Jackson said it was okay but thought the repetitive “cry baby, cry baby” lyrics was too much. Kara also felt Janis Joplin was a great rock performer to emulate, but wasn’t impressed with the performance. Simon Cowell says Allison needs to just “beg” to make it through the results show tomorrow night and not be voted off. Oh Simon….Allison did a great job! The first DUET performance by Kris Allen and Danny Gokey singing “Renegade” by Styx. Randy Jackson liked the harmonies but didn’t like the singing individually. Kara said some parts were pitchy, but together as a duet it was “united and strong”. Paula said it was “powerful and compelling”. Simon Cowell says Danny Gokey was better than Kris. Ouch, but true. Kris’ voice sounded strained, sounding like he was struggling to reach the high notes. It was obvious, but all in all, the duet was just alright. Fortunately, no phone numbers are being given to Vote for the duet performances, because the duet’s would be in the bottom 2 tomorrow night. VIDEO

Next to sing is Kris Allen performing “Come Together” by The Beatles, guitar-ready. Randy Jackson recognizes that Kris isn’t “really rock”, liked the vocals but especially liked what Kris was “doing on the guitar”. Kara says Kris is the “softer side of rock” but “not a great performance, trying too hard”. Paula says doing a Beatles song was “risky” for this week, needs a “little more energy” but deserves to be on the Idol stage. Simon didn’t like it that much, saying the performance was “like eating ice for lunch, leaving you nothing afterwards”. Danny Gokey is up with “Dream On” by Aerosmith. Ummm Danny, that was painful to listen to and watch. Randy Jackson says this isn’t Danny’s genre and “was alright for me”, given an “A+ for effort”. Kara says Danny “took it too far” with edge, complimented Danny on being bold and going for it, but… Paula said she didn’t feel this was the right song for Danny to sing, wasn’t her favorite choice of songs at all. The final DUET performance is between Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert singing “Slow Ride” by Foghat. Perfect combination of voices that ROCK the house!!! Simon Cowell says “in the battle of the duets, you win tonight”. Simon also says that singing with Adam may have saved Allison this week from elimination. Wow!!! VIDEO

Last night’s American Idol 4/21/09 Disco themed performances had some good stuff and not so good stuff. “Who got voted off American Idol” predictions have Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai and Matt Giraud being in the Bottom 3 during tonight’s Idol Results show. TWO of the Top 7 American Idol Finalists are going home tonight, not just one.

Who will be voted off tonight predictions have been quite sketchy and unreliable, especially if you’ve seen recent Idol predictions from Dial Idol. There is also a ridiculous frenzy of “Vote For The Worst” nonsense that is supposedly meant to keep American Idol interesting, but Idol fans aren’t amused by those morons one bit.

Paula Abdul choreographed tonight’s American Idol group performance, and we’ll post video so you can watch American Idol’s results show online and watch who got voted off. Past American Idol Contestant David Archuleta performs tonight singing; Harry Wayne Casey from KC and the Sunshine Band perform; Thelma Houston and Freda Payne perform a medley of their hits. Are you ready?! “THIS IS AMERICAN IDOL!”

45 Million Votes for Disco Week! Wow! Video clip of the Idol Group Performance preparations with choreographer Paula Abdul are shown. Paula Abdul introduces the American Idol Top 7 Group Performance song “Shake Your Body Down To The Ground” by Michael Jackson. Kris Allen dancing is just too funny, but the group dance routine (lip-synched of course) was fun and entertaining. Paula Abdul is presented a large, beautiful bouquet of flowers for her hard work teaching the Top 7 to dance. Good job Top 7!

Lil Rounds is then called to stand next to Idol host Ryan Seacrest, and is the first of the two to be voted off American Idol tonight. Lil sings the song she sang last night “I’m Every Woman” and is given a standing ovation. Randy Cowell tells Lil “this is just the beginning baby, just the beginning”. Simon Cowell says Lil is a great singer and is going to miss her family screaming in the audience. Kara and Paula also comment that Lil has a singing career ahead of her.

Disco icon Freda Payne is singing “Band of Gold“. This one is definitely LIVE (singing out of key….OUCH) and Freda really needed a slip under that virtually see-through dress. Yikes! Thelma Houston takes the Idol stage singing “Don’t Leave Me This Way“. KC and The Sunshine Band Harry Wayne Casey is (of course) singing “Get Down Tonight“. After watching these performances, it gives new meaning to PRE-TAPED (and edited) performances. That was pretty painful to watch.

Anoop Desai is told he’s in the Bottom 3 and has to wait to find out if he’s been voted off American Idol. Allison Iraheta and Matt Giraud are told to stand together. Matt is safe and Allison Iraheta is told she’s in the Bottom 3 and takes a seat next to Anoop Desai. Wow! Allison in the Bottom 3?! She’s awesome!!!

David Archuleta takes the stage singing “Touch My Hand“. Very nice performance David! I will definitely download David Archuleta’s performance and get the lyrics to sing along (NOT!).

David Archuleta encourages Anoop Desai and Allison Iraheta that regardless of who is voted off tonight, there are lots of other opportunities that come for Idol contestants that don’t make it all the way to the finale.

Who Got Voted Off American Idol with Lil Rounds?

Anoop Desai got voted off and is eliminated from American Idol and Allison Iraheta is safe. Anoop now has to go through the torture of singing his final song on American Idol, “Dim All The Lights”.

American Idol 4/21/09 is here finally! The American Idol Top 7 sing DISCO tonight, and we’re here LIVE to watch the Idol performances and bring you the judges comments and VIDEO of the performances. There have been various “American Idol Spoilers” circulating the net about what songs each of the Top 7 will sing tonight, but there are also many trustworthy people saying the “spoilers” are fakes, and that’s why we’re not posting any spoilers unless we have every reason to believe they’re real.

It’s DISCO night on American Idol! “This is American Idol!” Ryan Seacrest reminds us that on tomorrow night’s Results show, TWO of the Idol TOP 7 will be voted off American Idol, so remember to VOTE!

Lil Rounds is first up singing “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan. Lil Rounds is doing a pretty good job with her performance tonight, but let’s see what the judges have to say. Randy Jackson says “it sounded so wild” and “didn’t really show us what kind of vocal control you can have”. Kara DioGuardi said “I’m not sure it was worth the wait” and Lil “still didn’t tell me who you are as an artist”. Paula Abdul says Lil was “hot tonight” but “didn’t make the boiling point”. Simon Cowell says he’s glad Lil had fun but thinks this week is Lil’s “final shot”. Wow, all four Idol judges weren’t at all pleased with Lil Rounds performance. I didn’t think it was THAT bad! Kris Allen is next to perform and he’s singing “She Works Hard For The Money” by Donna Summer. Kris is playing the guitar, and Kris’ performance is quite a bit slower and more mellow than the version Donna Summer did during the Disco days. Kris definitely changed things up and made the song his own, but I don’t know if I like this one personally, but that’s only because I love me some Donna Summer. Kara DioGuardi says Kris “took a big risk but it paid of big time”. Paula Abdul says the performance had a “classy” style to it, also commenting on Kris’ outfit. Simon Cowell said “that was not karaoke”, “was original and a fantastic performance”. Randy Jackson says Kris is “ready for the big time”. Danny Gokiey takes the Idol stage singing “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. Paula Abdul is dancing at her seat, and I can see why.

Danny is sounding pretty darn good tonight! Overall, I liked Danny’s performance. Randy Jackson says he was a bit worried but that Danny “really turned this to work it out for you”. Kara DioGuardi says Danny is an “incredible vocalist” and his “pitch is always on”. Paula Abdul says Danny “has one of the sexiest voices” and women of all ages will love Danny Gokey. Simon Cowell says he “didn’t get any star power” and that the performance overall “was a bit awkward and clumsy”. To VOTE for Danny Gokey, phone 1-866-IDOLS-03 or text “VOTE” to 5703.

Allison Iraheta is singing “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer. Allison is really rockin’ her performance tonight! Wow Allison! I am soooo going to download Allison’s performance!!! Randy Jackson says “it was a little over-indulgent” but that Allison is “one of the best singers” in the competition but didn’t really like the arrangement. Kara DioGuardi also didn’t like the arrangement, but agrees with Randy that her vocals were excellent. Paula Abdul says Allison “hit it out of the park” and Simon Cowell says it “was a brilliant performance”. The moment American Idol is over tonight, I’m downloading Hot Stuff immediately! Adam Lambert is next up, singing “If I Can’t Have You” by the Bee Gees. Adam Lambert is simply spectacular tonight in my opinion, but the haters will say Adam was screaming and screeching. Whatever. Randy Jackson says “you are ready right now”, saying “he is a Hot One tonight America!” Kara DioGuardi says the way Adam connects with the audience is inspiring, and says the performance was spectacular. Paula Abdul appears choked up, with lips quivering and says “you will be in the finals”. Simon Cowell says “the vocals were immaculate”. Simon Cowell is clapping his hands for Adam’s performance! Next up is Matt Giraud singing “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees. I really like Matt Giraud and I enjoy listening to Matt sing, but I don’t care much when he attempts to sing too high for his vocal range ability, as he does in this performance. Randy Jackson didn’t like the song choice, didn’t like the arrangement but says “you can really sing dude”. Kara says the “vocals were pretty good”, a good/solid performance. Paula Abdul says after tonight’s performance, Matt “is staying”. Simon Cowell says the performance came across as “desperate”, with no originality and “not a huge fan of that one”. Uh-Oh Matt?! Last to sing tonight is Anoop Desai singing “Dim All The Lights” by Donna Summer. Randy Jackson says that Anoop can sing too “nice, baby nice”. Kara DioGuardi says the song sounded like it could have been played on the radio. Paula says Anoop needs to smile more and enjoyed the uptempo part. Simon Cowell says “it was mediocre at best”, a “horrible version of that song”, “genuinely your worst performance”. Uh Oh Anoop! I didn’t like that one at all! This is American Idol 4/15/09! We’re LIVE with the American Idol Top 7 Results Show to see Who got voted off American Idol tonight?! Last night on American Idol the Top 7 Finalists sang songs of the cinema, and if the “Dial Idol” predictions are correct of who will be voted off American Idol, there could be a major upset on tonight’s results show! Miley Cyrus (pre-taped) is scheduled to perform her new song “Climb” tonight, and GRAMMY award winner Jennifer Hudson (American Idol Season 3 Finalist) will be performing “If This Isn’t Love” on the American Idol Results Show tonight!

Who is Safe to continue on to perform in next week’s American Idol Disco theme, making up your Top 6 American Idol Finalists?! We’re about to find out! “This is American Idol!”

The Results Are In!!! Will the Idol judges use their veto “save” vote tonight, and save the Idol contestant with the lowest number of votes from elimination?!

American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, introduces the Top 7 to the stage. “Will your favorite be eliminated tonight”? says Ryan. All four judges are introduced as usual.

Next is the American Idol Ford Video performance, showing the Top 7 on magazine covers singing “Freeze Frame“.

The Top 7 Idol Finalists are singing the group performance song “Maniac“. Sounding really good! Danny Gokey has the glasses back on tonight, and each of the finalists are doing a great job singing Maniac! Hitting the high notes perfectly and keeping up a great rhythm throughout the group performance. Great job!

Quentin Tarrantino was last night’s ‘mentor’ for the Top 7, and Ryan talks to the finalists about that and shows video of when the finalists went to the Movie Premiere of “17 Again”, coming out this Friday. It’s an interesting video clip, but seems to be taking up too much time tonight. Let’s get to the results already! Zac Efron is in the audience too.

Jennifer Hudson takes the stage singing “If This Isn’t Love” and OH MY GOD Jennifer Hudson is an amazing singer! What a beautiful song, and what vocal pipes Jennifer has on her! Great job Jennifer!

I am soooo going to download If This Isn’t Love!!! Great job Jennifer! Amazing! Recently engaged to get married, Ryan Seacrest jokingly tries to get Jennifer to say the wedding date of her upcoming nuptials, but of course Jennifer isn’t going to do that for privacy reasons.

Bottom Three American Idol Performers:

Anoop Desai – Nooo! He did a good job last night!
Lil Rounds – Predictable for sure!
Matt Giraud – Sad but predictable

Anoop Desai was then told he could go sit on the couch with the other finalists, so Anoop is Safe!

Miley Cyrus is singing her new song “Climb” in a pre-taped Idol performance. Miley Cyrus is definitely coming into her own as she gets older and develops stronger vocals. She sounds really good. I’m not liking her hairstyle tonight at all…, her hair is hanging in her eyes and looking very messy! What’s up with the hair Miley?! All in all, Miley’s performance was spectacular, minus the crazy wild hair.

So, who got voted off American Idol tonight? ….. With over 36 million votes……Matt Giraud had the lowest number of votes and was voted off from American Idol Season 8 tonight. Will the Judges use their veto SAVE vote to save Matt? OH MY GOD! Matt is having to endure that horrible feeling of singing “To Really Love a Woman” one more time in hopes of being saved tonight. I hate this part! It’s like begging for your life!

Simon Cowell says Matt wasn’t as good tonight as he was last night.Â Whooohooooo! Matt Giraud was SAVED BY THE JUDGES TONIGHT ON AMERICAN IDOL! Wow!!! NO ONE GOES HOME TONIGHT!!!!

Simon Cowell says next week TWO CONTESTANTS WILL BE VOTED OFF!!! Oh NOOO!

Who got voted off American Idol 4-1-09? After last night’s American Idol Top Downloads night of Idol performances, American Idol fans are anxious to know who got voted off tonight on American Idol? We’re LIVE blogging the results show as it happens, bringing Idol fans the breakdown of everything that happened during the American Idol results show. The Idol judges weren’t too impressed with several of last night’s Idol performances, and we couldn’t agree more with their reviews and criticisms of song choice and outfits. Remember Randy Jackson’s reaction to Allison Iraheta’s outfit saying, “What are you wearing?!” Hopefully you voted for your favorite American Idol after last night’s show ended, and tonight’s results will be very interesting. Idol predictions all over the net say that Megan Joy will be voted off tonight, but after watching Scott MacIntyre perform his best attempt at “Just The Way You Are”, both Megan and Scott are predicted to be in the Bottom 3 tonight. Will the judges use their save “veto vote” tonight for the Idol contestant with the lowest number of votes? Who got voted eliminated from American Idol tonight?

Ryan Seacrest said “over 36 million votes” came in after last night’s Idol performances by the Top 9. Randy Jackson says the Idol contestants picked the wrong songs and that maybe the genre of Top Downloads was too big. Adam Lambert gets special mention by Ryan Seacrest and Paula Abdul. Asked who he thinks should be worried of being voted off, Simon Cowell says Megan, Anoop and Scott were the three on his list.

The Top 9 Finalists contestants performed Journey’s hit song “Don’t Stop Believin” as a group performance, and it sounded pretty darn good! As I expected, Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey hit the high notes with spectacular precision!

The Top 9 Ford Video was shown and a pre-taped video of the “typical Idol week” with photo shoots, rehearsals and Idol Mania fans going wild for their favorite Idol contestants.

The Results are in! Who is safe? Who are in the bottom 3?

Past American Idol winner, David Cook, takes the stage to sing “Come Back To Me“. I am definitely going to download David Cook’s song as soon as American Idol is over! That performance was HOT and the audience loved it too! David Cook said his tour is being extended and I sure hope he’s coming to our town! David Cook was then presented with a plaque signifying his self-titled David Cook album going Platinum! Congratulations to David on his accomplishments thus far and those yet to come! Megan Joy (as expected and predicted)

Allison Iraheta (I’m not too surprised)

Anoop Desai (I really thought it would be Scott!)

Lady GaGa takes the stage to sing “Poker Face“. I must admit to not being very familiar with Lady Gaga’s music, but she can definitely play that piano. The American Idol audience and judges loved Lady GaGa’s performance, giving her a standing ovation. Lady GaGa fans can download “Poker Face” on iTunes. American Idol Host, Ryan Seacrest, asked Simon Cowell which of the Bottom 3 contestants were worth saving with a veto vote and Simon said “1″. Anoop Desai is safe and sent back to sit with the other Idol contestants. Ryan Seacrest asked Simon if there was a chance of saving Megan Joy with a veto vote and Simon “not a chance”. Ouch! That was pretty cut-throat Simon!

Megan Joy was voted off and eliminated from American Idol Season 8. Good luck to you Megan! Watch Video of Megan Joy get voted off.

Top 9 Theme Spoiler! Ryan Seacrest announced on his radio show the American Idol theme for the Top 9 Idol contestants will be “TOP DOWNLOADS“. On Tuesday night, March 31, 2009 the Top 9 American Idol finalists will apparently be singing songs from the iTunes downloads/iTunes Top 100 downloads for song choice.

Top Downloads on iTunes, eh? Well, I sure hope Megan Joy carefully considers the variety of songs included in the Top 100 downloads when deciding what song she’ll sing, because her last performance was one of the worst thus far.
