American Idol Season 2 finalist Kimberly Caldwell’s new song “Mess Of You”, from her upcoming album entitled Without Regrets on Vanguard Records, is sure to be a hit amongst Caldwell fans. “Mess Of You” is one of the songs included on Kimberly’s new album, and is scheduled to be released in April 2010.
Kimberly performed a showcase of songs from the new album in Los Angeles on December 10, and her strong vocal abilities shows through loud and clear. Caldwell is smoking hot in the looks department, and the husky/raspy voice she’s well known for is a personal favorite, and we’re thrilled she’s finally releasing a full album after six long years of waiting.
Yahoo Music’s Lyndsey Parker was there and offers this in her review of Kimberly Caldwell’s debut album:
“I must say, was extremely impressed by what I heard today. Her voice was stronger and bolder than I remember from her Idol days, and her songs were tough ‘n’ tender in that instantly clicky Kelly Clarkson-ish way (more like Kelly’s misunderstood, Benatarian third album, My December, with a little bit of Allison Iraheta-esque swagger thrown in–all very good things, in my opinion).”
Kimberly Caldwell has been staying in the spotlight hosting the TV Guide Channel’s Reality Chat show and MTV’s talent show P. Diddy’s Starmaker, but fans have been anxiously waiting to hear her sing and for the release of her own album since being an Idol contestant oh-so-long ago. Gotta love her Melissa Ethridge-like rock vocals (think “Come To My Window”), and the video clips below shows Caldwell is staying true to form.
