American Idol 3-11-09 – Who Got Voted Off American Idol?

who-got-voted-offWho got voted off American Idol on 3/11/09 of American Idol Season 8? American Idol host Ryan Seacrest announced the “new rule”, where Idol judges can “veto” an elimination and save one contestant during American Idol Season 8, but only until the competition reaches the top five finalists. Once the competition reaches the Top 5, their fate is in the hands of American voters.

Up until that point, the judges can use their “veto vote” lifeline only once to save a contestant from being voted off, but the vote has to be unanimous amongst the judges.

Idol judges Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell have to choose wisely who to save, because the judges only get one veto vote. Let’s hope they make the right decision of who to save and who should go home.

So, who got voted off American Idol on 3-11-09, and who is safe to continue on?

Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez were both eliminated from the competition, and the judges decided against using their veto vote on these two American Idol contestants.

Here’s a breakdown list of the guys and girls who are safe:

Adam Lambert is Safe
Danny Gokey is Safe
Scott MacIntyre is Safe
Michael Sarver is Safe
Kris Allen is Safe
Matt Giraud is Safe
Anoop Desai is safe (after being in the bottom two)

Lil Rounds is Safe
Allison Iraheta is Safe
Alexis Grace is Safe
Megan Joy Corkrey is Safe (after being in the bottom two)
